A new project for Ms. Cruz? This might be a rumour but it’s worth posting about!

Spanish stars Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are being lined up to star in a movie version of hit musical “Nine,” entertainment industry press reported on Tuesday.

A report in Variety said Cruz and Bardem were among a bevy of stars who had been approached by The Weinstein Company to feature in the film, an adaptation of the musical inspired by Federico Fellini’s “8 1/2.”

Others who have been approached include French starlet Marion Cotillard, who has earned glowing reviews for her recent portrayal of troubled chanteuse Edith Piaf in “La Vie En Rose.”

British actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, who scooped an Oscar in 2003 for her part in “Chicago,” and Italian screen legend Sophia Loren were also being courted for parts, the report added.

The film is to be directed by Rob Marshall, who earned an Oscar nod for “Chicago.”

Continuing work on his latest film which stars Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz, comic legend and Hollywood big-hitter Woody Allen was seen filming in Barcelona’s beautiful Park Guell.

The as yet untitled film, which remains shrouded in mystery, is likely to prominently feature the picturesque park, which was designed by famous Catalan architect Antonio Gaudi from 1900 to 1914, considering the scale of the operations taking place in and around it.

Despite its location in the heart of Barcelona, Park Guell exudes an air of serenity, filled as it is with idle wanderers enjoying the maze like terraces and mosaic bearing walls and benches. Situated on the hillside of el Carmel in the Gracia district of the city, the park is part of the Unesco World Heritage Site ‘The Works of Gaudi’.

Here’s a little article where Pe denies some rumours of her and two-time costar Javier Bardem having a romance. And she talks about working with Scarlett Johansson and she also denies the rumour about her having a panic attack at a plane some weeks ago.

When it comes to romance rumors with Orlando Bloom, Josh Hartnett and Javier Bardem, Pen?? ??lope Cruz keeps her sensuous lips sealed.

“I don’t talk about that,” the Spanish actress (Volver), 33, told reporters at a Monday press conference in Ibiza, Spain, where she and her younger sister, Monica, launched their Mango clothing collection. “I don’t read most of what is written about me.”

Even so, Cruz specifically denied dating Bardem ? ? ? and brushed off any talk of Bloom or Hartnett, to whom she was linked in May.

As for Bardem, “It’s not true,” she said. “He’s a friend and the best actor in the world.” The pair costar together in Woody Allen’s new movie, shooting in Spain, and she’s due to start work on the film next week.

With a section of the city? ? ? !” s famously busy Las Ramblas boulevard among the streets to have been blocked off for Allen and stars such as Scarlett Johansson and Pen?? ??lope Cruz, the grumbling has turned into a political row.
